Looking for ABRAHAM GRESHAM
father
of ASA GRESHAM born 1818 married
Elizabeth Lacey (don't know if
this is a surname or middle name) in 1804
father of ASA ALEXANDER GRESHAM
born July 1833 died 17 Sept 1910 buried Mt
Moriah Cem, Obion, Obion Co., TN
married Frances L. (Fannie) Campbell in
Maury Co., TN 8 Mar 1854.
Had 11 children, 8 living in 1900 census, One
of which was Charles C. (Charlie)
Grisham (my husbands grandfather---notice
name change in later years but
not sure why) married to Nannie Jo Edwards.
I have down line on Charlie and
some of the other siblings, would
appreciate any help on any of
this

John Grissom married to Eliza Ann
Belt. I don't know if they had more
than one child other than my
grandmother:
Zula Grissom (my grandmother)

September 14, 1886. She married John
Alec Nation in Poplar Bluff, MO
in 1902. They had the following
children:

I have been searching for
months
trying to find the birthplace of my
mother and grandmother. Any help

I am looking for any information
on J.E. GRISHAM, my ggrandfather. Married
Olivia (Ollie) Lawson. He died
around 1917. The only information I have is
that my grandmother, Beulah Lee
GRISHAM, Stokes was born to this couple on
21-July-1912. I don't know if
there
were other children or not. Any
information would be greatly
appreciated.

1785 This is all I have on them. Am looking for John's

of DRURY GRISSOM b. abt. 1760. He lived in
Lincoln Co. NC and served in the
Revolutionary War in Chester Co. SC. He might
be the brother of OLIVER GRISSOM.

Hopper Sept. 4, 1845 Orange Co IN. John and Ruth had 5 children,
Mary E. 1846, George W. 1849, Ruth Jane 1859, William A 1863 and Thomas
E. 1852.

James W. GRISHAM was born 1811, NC. There were ten
children
in the family of James W and Mary Birch TEMPLEMAN - GRISHAM, all born
in
KY. Possibly around Elkton, Todd Co. Ellen

He died 11/16/1936 in Arkansas.
He married Mary Adelins (Dolly) Sammons(2nd wife). He served
in the Confederated Army.His

I am searching for the father of
Joseph W. Grisham, Joseph W. Grisham, b. 15 Apr 1829 in Mississippi. He
had brother s Lemuel and William and sisters Ellen and Virginia. His
mother
is believed to e Permelia J. Grisham, born in New York. The family
lived
in Mississippi until the 1840's when they moved to Webster County,
Kentucky.

grandfather John D. Grisham who is burried in Onton Ky(Webster
Co.)He
had sons Prentice Marshall Donald and Charles. He was married to
Myrtle(Myrtie)Hancock. Donald is resided in Beech Grove Ky at the time
of his death The other sons all lived in Evansville In at the time of
their

Have STRONG reason to believe
that
John Gresham who married Judith MELTON in Warren County, KY in 1804 is
the BROTHER to my THOMAS GRESHAM/GRISHAM who married Lucy FOSTER in
Smith
County, TN in 1810.
Judith's father was Elijah
MELTON. Her sister was Elizabeth Melton who married Richard BAILEY in
Warren
County in 1805. Richard's second wife was Lockey FOSTER, sister to my
Lucy
Foster who married Thomas Grisham.
Richard Bailey was in
Giles
County, TN by 1840 living next door to Drury Foster. This connection to
the MELTON'S STRONGLY SUGGESTS that John and Thomas were BROTHERS.
They are possibly sons or
nephews of Drury Grissom of Lincoln County, N.C. but have no proof as
yet.
Elijah Melton was living in the Twelth Company, Lincoln County, N.C. in
1790. Drewery Grissom was living in the 7th Company, Lincoln County,
N.C.
Moses Grisham married
Elizabeth
Slate in Lincoln County and was in Smith County early with other
Grishams.
Thomas Grisham was on 1810 Warren County, KY taxlist but not on census.
He served in KY Detached Militia from Warren County in War of 1812.
Presence
on Militia rolls and tax list proves he was there in Warren County, and
was probably a brother to Thomas Grisham, who's wife's family has
proven
connection to the family of Elijah Melton, father of Judith Melton who
married John Gresham in 1804.
My Grishams and Fosters
and Bailey's were in Giles County, TN by 1840. Will

I'm looking for any information on my gggg-grandfather, John Grisham, who was born in North Carolina around 1775, moved to Kentucky, and eventually to Indiana. He married a woman named Elizabeth (last name may have been Rhodes,)and they had several children: Jane, Mary Jane, Lemira (or Semira,) John, Esau, Margaret, Matthew, Jacob, Isaac (my ggg-grandfather,) Abraham, Simon Peter, and Nancy. I believe John shows up on a land entry in Barren County, KY in 1803. There's pretty strong evidence that John and Elizabeth divorced some time in the 1820s or 1830s in Orange County, IN.
