Starting in Late 2002, Rex Redmon started producing "Silver Threads" -- formerly "Silver Notes II Online" -- an electronic evolution of the original newsletter. In December 2004, Rex gave up control to Silver historian James (John) Silver.

Unfortunately, John's illness in June 2008 has caused a halt in the production of these monthly newsletters. I will try to put together newsletters at irregular intervals, when ever I have collected enough bits of news and stories from other Silver researchers. But I believeSilver Threadsrequires a permanent presence, someone with the desire and time to continue putting out the quality product that we expected from Rex and John. Contact me if you are willing to take on that responsibility. Please continue to send in stories, photos, vital statistics, and other articles for publication. And please continue to print out and mail hardcopy version to those family members who are not yet on the Internet.It is your newsletter. Any suggestions for improvement will be considered. Constructive criticism is welcomed.
