Charles J. Rosenswie of Shinglehouse died at his home on Friday night, January 9, 1959, after a brief illness.

Mr. Rosenswie was born in Altenwalt, Germany, on May 18, 1878, coming to this country where, in 1901, he married Mary E. Cramer at Greensburg, PA. In 1902 he came to Shinglehouse and was a glass blower in the Palmer Window Glass factory in Shinglehouse.

Surviving besides his wife, are a son, Clinton Rosenswie, three daughters, Mrs. Clyde Wiseman and Mrs. Keith Foote, all of Shinglehouse, and Mrs. Frank Hadley, of Olean, N. Y.; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one brother, William Rosenswie, of Eldred; two sisters, Mrs. Mary R. Barr, of Hollywood and Mrs. Margaret Nenno of Los Angeles, Calif.

Funeral services were held at ten o'clock on Monday afternoon at the Howard Funeral Home, with Dr. LeRoy Halbert, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was made in Maple Grove Cemetery.
