The Families in EuropeFrance, Germany, Switzerland, Roumania and AustriaAlsace and Bourgogne, FranceJean Schini and his wife Catherine (Jacob) were living in Zutzendorf (Obermodern) in 1811. His child Jakob Schoene emigrated about 1832 to the United States. (George Schini, a neighbor of Jakob in Beaver County, Pennsylvania may have also been a son.) When Shirley Flannagan and Catherine Young visited Zutzendorf in June 1998, they found many Schini Tombstones in the cemetery, so there are still relatives there. Contributed by Kay Schaney.
