Our Vision: A single surname study for all KIRTON families throughout the world.
The best source for genealogical information relating to KIRTON families, including family
group sheets, linked pedigrees, census data, wills, probate records, military records, and
obituaries. Eventually, it is our hope to be able to provide KIRTON family groups with
download formats such as GEDCOM or Word documents.

10 Oct 1999: First upload of site's main page, just to get it started. I personally became
a RootsWeb donor which makes this site possible. There are certain advantages to financially
supporting RootsWeb as a group, if you are interested in contributing to this endeavor, please

Mailing List: Already established and provided by RootsWeb, anyone may subscribe
in LIST or DIGEST mode by selecting the link to KIRTON-L or KIRTON-D in left column. It's
purpose is to share genealogy information among the subscribers. Information from the mailing
list may be added to this site to enhance it's use by everyone, including non-subscribers. If you
do not want your data included here, please let me know.
Identification Project: The goal is to identify KIRTON family members from a variety of
sources and consolidate that information into a single page per individual. For example, a person
depicted in the Social Security Death Index also has an obituary, military record, or other source
material submitted to the project, and these sources are then combined into a single page about
that individual.
