Page 3  Elizabeth Mitchell died in the 49th year of her age on the first day of August 1779   
            Thomas Mitchell died on December 10, 1806

Eleanor Mitchel, a widow, and her son, John, settled in Augusta County, 1747. Their farm cornered John Tate and David Doak.
John Mitchell died testate, 1771, leaving a wife and six children:

I. Thomas--his Bible is now owned by M.T. McClure a descendant.
     Born September 23, 1732, died December 30, 1806. He was a Revolutionary Soldier
     Married : Twice

    1) December 27, 1757, Elizabeth McClanahan Moor, widow of Samuel Moor, who was a son of Andrew, and who was accidentally killed in1752.
        A son Andrew brn, 1750, died August 10, 1791, leaving wife Martha, and were parents of Mrs. Andrew Lusk.

        Children: 5

             William born 10-5-1761, married 9-15-1785 to Agnes Brownlee
             Thomas , Jr. born 12-7-1763, went West
             Elizabeth born 3-1-1766, died 9-11-1850, married 9-28-1810 to James Fulton, buried at Old Providence Church.
             Mary , born 12-23-1768, died 1795, married 1-15-1789 to Andrew McClure
             Isabella, born 9-1-1771, married 12-16-1807 to John Doak, buried at Bethal

       2)  Thomas McClure married second  November 6, 1781
            Elizabeth Wales; she died 7-11-1806
            Child: Jane, born 12-1-1782, married: twide 1) James Mateer, son of James; four children: Wm, Mitchel, Eliza, Isabella. She married 2) Wm Mateer, a                             widower with five children

        II.  Robert Mitchel, Born circa 1734, surveyer 1774
        III. John Mitchel died 1783, leaving his property to the children of Andrew Russell, Jr. and Elizabeth Turk, d. of Thomas
        IV. James Mitchell, born circa 1740, died 1806
              Revolutionary Soldier in Capt. Tate's company and was a charter member with Col. Robert Doak in Bethel church
                4 children: Thomas, married  4-4-1786, Margaret, daughter of James Callison, diedk 1816, 7 children, among them Wilson Mitchel born 1-10-1796
                James, married  Mary, dau. of Wm and Jane Brown
                Elizabeth, married 2-16-1793 Robert Callison
         V. Eleanor married Mathew Willson, Sr.
        VI. Mary married a Wright
