| I spent a few days in Boca Raton, Florida, in mid-July
1998 and felt like the youngest person there. Not wanting to waste
a trip back to North America, I loaded up on books and headed for The
Bahamas for the rest of the week.
I made sure to take advantage of all that was available: jet-skiing, parasailing, swimming, seafood, boat trips and a morning spent swimming with dolphins at Dolphin Encounters on Blue Lagoon Island. I stayed cool in the afternoon heat paddling around the swimming area at the Marriott, looking at tropical fish through a glass pane in my surfboard. |

Above and to the left is the view from the east balcony of
my suite. It was an incredible sight to wake up to each morning.
The photo of the sunrise was taken on the last morning. I had left the curtains open all night so I wouldn't miss it. |
