1765. William Waters born, MD. Ref: Ancestral File. (Presumably, William
Waters Jr, which is how I will refer to him, below).
1765. William Waters is in Upper Resurrection Hundred, along with Philemon
Wood, Leonard Wood, Jonathan Wood, Nathan Wood, Samuel Wood. (Philemon appears
to be the "Philip Wood" in the MD Archives
Black Book as a contributor to the Boston poor in 1760).
1768. William Waters Sr bought 68 acres of a tract of land called Willfull
Destruction from James Waters Sr. The land, formerly in Prince Georges County,
was on Gilbert Swamp. (Ref: The Charles County Rent Roll of 1753, by TLC Genealogy.
Note that John Slye lived on Gilbert Swamp).

p. 13. Ref: MD Archives web site. (James G. Wood had 425 acres in the 3rd district,
p. 12, but Philip Wood, father of Henry Wood, is found in the 2nd district,
p. 7).
1790 census. Charles County, MD. 1 white male >=16, 2 white males
<16, 4 white females, 2 slaves.
1796, Nov 30. Inventory of William Waters. Includes Negro woman Dinah,
age 30, Negro boy John, age 5, Negro boy Jem, age 3, Negro girl Henny, age 5
months. Total value of estate: £197.11.2. Relations: Elanah Davis &
Mary Davis. Creditors: John Forbes, Thomas Billingsly & Co. John Waters,
Administrator. Signed by James Waters Sr and Joseph Johnson. (Ref: Charles County

1797, Sep 12. William Waters, Elizabeth Waters & Mary Davis, probable

1798, June. Account of the sales of the estate of William Waters, late
of Charles County. A buyer of farm animals was Henry Wood.
Leonard Wood bought old chairs. (Although the report was dated 1798, the actual
sale could have occurred years earlier). Ref: Charles County Orphans Court Proceedings,
p. 322.
1814, Sep 10. William Waters Jr. married Sarah (Sally) Orme in Bullitt
County, KY. (Note that Henry Wood is of record
in the early 1800s in Bullitt Co).
