Welcome to the Epsom Early Settlers Web Site. Please feel free to search any area of interest. A brief description of each section is given below with the links to that section on the bar above. In addition, if you are familiar with the site, there is a complete list of page links on the left side of this page. As with most projects of this type, the input and adding of information goes on. Additional input from interested individuals is most welcome. Please feel free to email Epsom Early Settlers via the icon provided to the right.

HOME - This is the page you are currently viewing. The bar above will follow you on each page you visit so you can easily navigate to different sections, and/or return "home".

GENEALOGY - This page will guide you to our database on Rootsweb World Connect and provide you with links to additional areas of research. Also includes one of the best sources of information of Epsom genealogy "Early Settlers of Epsom" by John Mark Moses.

CEMETERY - An extensive amount of information available here, including a searchable database of the Epsom Cemetery Book; a listing by Cemetery with surnames listed alphabetically and easy links to gravestone photos of over 2000 individuals in Epsom cemeteries; locations of Epsom Cemeteries via the New Hampshire Old Graveyard Association website; and soldier's burials.

RECORDS - One hundred years of census records for Epsom are available from 1790 through 1880 with explanation of the data in them. Most valuable are the DEATH RECORDS of Jonathan Dolbeer 1819-1874. Available vital statistics are being added, and in the future will be adding heads of households from the tax/agricultural census info.

HISTORY - The history of Epsom can be explored through various articles gleaned from the Epsom Historical Association archives. These would include information on schools, churches, historic structures and places. In addition there are biographies of some Epsom individuals and families, some of which has been contributed by people who have found the Epsom Early Settlers website and graciously shared their information.

SOLDIERS - Included here is information on Epsom soldiers with information from GAR Post 66, many accompanied by photos and letters. Gravestone photos are also included, as well as information and list of the Association Test signers. Planned for the future is information on War of 1812 veterans.

EPSOM HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION - As Epsom approaches its 275th Anniversary in 2002, this is the place to find out about information on related events, EHA meetings, and how to contact the historical association. Also listed will be any new additions to the EHA archives and any ongoing projects. See the latest EHA Newsletter.

LINKS - Every website has its favorite links, and we are no exception. Included is the 1858 & 1892 maps of Epsom, NH and views of the town from the Microsoft terra server. This is one of my favorite pages, as all my favorite research places and links to other areas of interest to Epsom research are in one easy place for me to find. I hope you will also find it helpful.
