WILL of Sally Dolbeer 1824

In the name of God, Amen

I Sally Dolbeer of Epsom in the County of Merrimack and State of New Hampshire, being weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following… After recommending my spirit to the tender mercies of God who gave it and my body to the dust, I will that my personal property should be disposed of in the following manner, Viz.

Firstly, I give and bequeath unto my son Joseph D. Dolbeer one pine writing desk, all my neat stock and farming tools, he paying my just debts and funeral charges.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son John Dolbeer one good ewe sheep to be delivered him in six months after my decease.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son William Dolbeer twenty five cents to be paid in six months after my decease.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin A. Dolbeer one feather bed, bedstead and bedding, meaning the bed which has a purple and white ticken - his guardian to take charge of the same and convert it to the use of the said Benjamin A. after my decease.

Item - I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my household furniture of whatsoever kind and wheresoever found…. Also my wearing apparel to my daughter Elvira L. M. Dolbeer to be delivered to her when she shall arrive to the age of eighteen years, unless she shall marry previous to that time, and if sooner married, then to be delivered at her marriage - all the above mentioned bequest is to be under the direction and control of her guardian until the time specified for delivery. It is my will that the guardian of my daughter should convert my wearing apparel to the use and benefit of my daughter at any time when he may think proper or necessary.

Lastly, I constitute and appoint Thomas D. Merrill of Epsom sole Executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of December 1824.
