| Welcome to my family website! My name
is Carol Hepburn and this
website was created to connect family and friends who might be
related to my family tree. Over the course of ten years
(1998-2008),
many things have been added and deleted, so the site has changed
from it's original intent and purpose.
In 2004, my husband
and I decided to begin home schooling our only child. It was
a difficult decision to leave the safety net of the public school
system, but after much prayer and consideration, we followed the
Lord's guidance and started to teach him at home. That was
four years ago and our son is currently in 10th grade at Shiloh
Christian School (our home school name). Much of
this website is now devoted to home schooling tips and advice as
well as articles I have written to help new families get started
teaching their own children.
Genealogy and Family History

For anyone who might be interested in my Family History or who
would like to see my tree data, I do have some descendant charts
online. I have taken my database offline due to a number of
complaints from visitors who are concerned about fraud or identity
theft. Though genealogical data is rarely used for this
purpose (it was when the Internet was first around -- late 1990s),
it is my desire to not offend individuals who believe that
having their name listed as part of an online genealogy family
tree, still poses a serious threat to their personal
liberty. As such, if you would like me to search through my
database to see if I have any information on your surnames, please
email me with as much information as possible. I cannot do
personal research any more, but am happy to look through my
records for your particular surname. You can see a list of

Home School Help
As mentioned above, our son is currently in the 10th
grade. He has been home schooled since 2004 (5th
grade). If you would like to learn more about how we home

Online Journal
I have been keeping an online journal since 2005. My blog,
The
Country Cottage, offers an on-going glimpse into my personal
prayer life, our home schooling log, as well as my thoughts and
observations about life, family and God. Feel free to stop
