These watercolor sketches were found as a folio in a bookcase in the home of George Longhurst Capstick. The originals display much richer colours and more contrast than the scanned images. There is nothing to identify the artist except the final sketch which reads "by H.T.C."
I have my own theory about the origin of these sketches, but I would really appreciate any input as to the era and/or the artist. Any comments or theories can be sent to Ann Capstick
