Elizabeth (Rider) Locke Bible

This bible was was generously loaned to me by my father's first cousin, Kay (Day) McDonald of Thorburne, NS. It had been in the possession of her great grandmother, Bethia West Locke, passed down either through Bethia's father, James D. Locke, or her second husband, Jonathan Locke. I have titled it "Elizabeth (Rider) Locke Bible" because of the " Elizabeth Locke" signature on the front flyleaf. It was transcribed circa 1980 by Ann Capstick, and photocopies of the pages were deposited at the Public Archives of Nova Scotia.

Grandpa Jonathan Locke Died in 1852 at the age of 94 Born in 1758.
