My 4th great-grandfather was Joseph G. England. He settled in Washington County, Missouri in the mid 1820's with his wife and children. He was born in 1783 in N.C. or Tenn. and died in 1853 in Caledonia, Washington County, Missouri where he is buried. His wife is buried there also, she was born in August of 1791 and died in March of 1850. She was buried in Caledonia of Washington County as the "W/O of J. G. England". This is how she is listed in the cemetary records. I am trying to research out who she was by name. Her name may have been Ebby Deal as there was an Ebby Deal who married a Joseph England, the son of Daniel England and Margaret Gwynn. I would like to find out when and where their marriage took place so that I might verify it and look for records on these two people. This may be the couple I am looking for who are my 4th great-grandparents. They had at least 5 children that I know of; John Maxwell A. England 1812-1850, Wiley J. England 1813-1891, Sterling T. Eathason England 1815, Laura Linda/Alcinda (England) Ruggles 1817, and Mary L. England 1828. An Andrew J. England 1822 may also be a child of this same couple but not certain. These England children were raised in Washington County, Missouri and later lived in Crawford County, Missouri which lies at the western boarder of Washington. Joseph G. England was the sheriff of Crawford Co., Mo. from 1837 to 1838. John and Wiley England along with their father, Joseph G. England received and held several government land grants in and around the county seat town of Steelville, Mo. Any help locating a marriage date and location for Joseph England and Ebby Deal would be greatly appreciated.

I am still trying to find the death records of my great-great grandparents who lived in Fairfield County, Ohio until they sold their farm in 1863. I have found another place to look but I am not close to Indiana Records. If you are near such Records, will you please help me? Their four children who were still at home when they left Ohio went to Indiana. One son went to Grant County Indiana in 1863 and stayed for three years and then returned to Ohio in 1866. Is there a death record for John or Rachel in Grant County? That son was Nathan England. Another son, William Joseph England was in the National Military Home in Grant County in 1910. In 1880 he was in Kokomo County, Indiana and in 1884 he was in Howard County. Another son, Levi England, lived in Howard County, Union Township. Daughter Rachel was also in Indiana but I do not know her married name. All this makes me believe my great-great grandparents were there too.
