According to Diane Holeman, Winn Parish (LA) Enterprise news editor:
"Genealogy will be the topic of a new column launched by the Enterprise this week (Oct 6, 1999)...
Ms. Womack, a professional genealogist, has conducted research for clients in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Her roots are deep in Winn Parish soil... Family History will give data and information on and about Winn Parish, and will feature commentaries, information about family bible records, probate records, and courthouse material... queries... book reviews... the column will also offer general genealogical research tips and techniques."
"With over 30 years of family research with over 100 surnames, research extending before the year 1200 in Europe, and over 25 years of professional research across the South, Mrs. Womack is well-suited to her profession. She holds a BS degree from Northwestern State University and has accumulated some 200+ post-graduate hours." "Locally, she is currently president of the Winn Genealogical and Historical Association. " "The columnist is married to John Womack... they have seven children and 15 grandchildren, all of whom live in Winn Parish."
